God Games

"Stand up, and feel to yourself: Breathe in the good stuff--Breathe out the bad stuff." --Avatar Adi Da Samraj

“God Games” were developed at the request of Avatar Adi Da Samraj in order to serve children’s human and Spiritual growth. By playing God Games, children develop the ability to notice and feel the energy of their own bodies as well as that of others, nature, and the Divine Mystery. It also increases etheric sensitivity, intuition, and cooperative and non-competitive behavior. Avatar Adi Da Samraj has said that children should play these kinds of games rather than “good guy/bad guy” games. He has said that the “bad guy” archetype, “tends to have more force and seem more real to the children than Real God. The ‘bad guy’ must not be reinforced—this orientation, or perspective, in children must be intentionally undone.”

Radiation Station

This is a simple game that can be played in obviously different ways. The object is to guess someone's mood without seeing their obvious signals of facial expression. One way to play this is as follows: On different slips of paper write "fear", "sorrow", "anger", "happiness", or "love". Have someone randomly pick one of the slips of paper and get into the feeling of that emotion, without sound, and without being seen. This can be accomplished by blindfolding the persons who are guessing, or by placing a well-ventilated large paper bag over the head of the person radiating the emotion. The guessers feel for a while first and then write down their guess, and then the blindfolds are removed from the guessers or the bag is lifted off the head of the person radiating the emotion. The children who guessed right can hold up their card. Choose one of them to be the next "radiation station."

Dreams

You should have some time every day (usually first thing in the morning) to talk about any dreams the children had. This should be done for children of all ages, but after the age of six or so, particular attention to the dream world becomes another means for their feeling dimension to grow. This can be done in many ways.

Sharing Dreams

Simple talk about dreams and the kinds of dreams each child had is an obvious and effective way to begin and continue to heighten awareness of this dimension. When you consciously initiate attention on the dream state, make sure you do this every day for at least a month. Set aside a time and even a place or occasion fo it.

Dream Diary

Have the children write about their dreams in a special book that they keep and make. This can have drawings or paintings also.

Intend to Dream

Have the children choose something fairly ordinary that they would like to do or have happen, or a place they would like to go to, or something they can't do or don't think they can do in the regular waking state (like flying). Have them talk about it, share it, and then ask them to think about it when they go to sleep with the intention to dream it. Ask them if they have ever been in a dream where they knew they were dreaming. Ask them if they were able to affect the dream because they knew they were dreaming. Highlight this "lucid dreaming" phenomenon and compare it to lessons learned in "The World Is a Magical Place" about the psycho-physical nature of the arising of events."
